Now as of today, if we have to decide which tech roles we need within tech, we have to prepare, which career to choose, so there are a lot of options and there is a lot of confusion around it.

And personally, this confusion from earlier, it didn’t exist that much at the time. Earlier there were two types of students, either there are students who don’t know what is a placement? What is an internship? Does it happen? Do you even have to study for it?

There were other types of students, those who have done DSA, development, did a few projects with him, studied some core subjects, and here used to apply for all the companies with almost the same skill set and used to get hired.

The third case is all those freshers who want to target a role that has a quick entry. We were able to get a starting job. Now, like this within cases, we need to target those fields where there are a lot more opportunities available relatively early compared to other fields.

Personally, I would not recommend you to look out for work life balance in the initial five to seven years of your careers, especially in your early 20s. But however, if your long term goal is to, you need work-life balance. This is one of your priorities.

So what can you do? Whatever role you are in is long term working, try to target large MNCs. Notice me. I’m here for the big, I am not talking about startups because what are startups in general? Growth inside the phase, where work and life balance is not that much available.

The bigger the MNCs established, the larger the available within tech companies, that too in more developed countries like the USA and UK that is something that we can target in the long term. And another thing that you will notice that I have never once had an interest ko or passion ko as a criterion mention,
Interest And Passion Not As Criterion
I haven’t done it because my basic assumption is that if you’re watching this session, then you are already interested in building a career in this field as compared to others. So that much interest is good enough in getting a job in building a career in this field.
Efforts Matter More Than Interest
The most important thing that will matter, I don’t have any interest or passion. The important thing that will matter is our efforts are whether we are that student, whether we are going to be that fresher who one and a half to two years of good effort, you have spent time putting it in some particular towards the goal.
Set Your Goal And Work Hard
So the most important thing is that we can narrow down a particular role, take it. Set your goal. And 1.5 to 2 there’s a good deal of hard work that goes into it over the years, put in. We have to upskill in that. In fact, I will advise you if you are a first year, second year and even third year student,
Daily 3 To 4 Hours Of Coding
you have to keep a check on yourself. Are you the kind of student who works every day? About three to four hours of your programming to your coding, to your upskilling, here I am when I am coding and if I am talking about programming then I am not talking about college academics.
Learning Industry Relevant Skills
I am talking about actually learning skills that are relevant within the industry, very relevant to us inside it’s going to happen. So if we’re students like this, those who are able to give three to four hours on a daily basis, only then we are in the top 5% of the industry, 1% of engineers will make it in.
Goal For Every Student
And that’s it, ideally, I believe this should be the goal for everyone, students who want to excel in this field, I want to. So that’s why with interest and passion, it is very much that we focus on our efforts, focus on discipline. Keep yourself afloat, give a particular deadline.
Track Yourself And Cut Distractions
And along with that track yourself how many hours we spend on this spending on a particular thing. Cut your distractions, focus on one thing and don’t get too confused about things. Once you have achieved your goal, you have decided to choose any of these,
